April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month, a time to recognize the staggering reality that one in four women are survivors of sexual violence.

Take a moment to think about all of the women you know in your life, now apply that statistic again. Women are not a number to be considered, we are mothers, sisters, friends, co-workers and more. As a women's health massage therapist, I witness firsthand the profound impact trauma can have on the body. Many survivors carry their experiences deep within, often feeling disconnected from their physical selves. Through massage therapy and energy work, we create a path toward healing, one that does not require words but offers a safe space for women to reconnect with their bodies.
