CONWAY — In an effort to provide insights on obtaining health care insurance for seniors affected by of the cutback in Carroll County of virtually all Medicare Advantage plans by the end of the year, licensed local agent Ed Hollum is giving two talks at the Mount Washington room of the Fairbank Lodge at Cranmore Mountain Resort in North Conway. Monday Dec. 1 there will be 2 sessions to choose from, slated from 10 a.m.-noon and another from 1-3 p.m. He thanked Cranmore for providing the space and supporting this important issue facing seniors.
“Virtually all Medicare Advantage plans in Carroll County are being canceled, so half the people in the county got letters this fall saying their health and drug coverage will be ending by Dec. 31. My office is being flooded with calls,” said Hollum. “I scheduled these meetings because I, and other local agents and agencies, are totally overwhelmed with calls from people who are scared and confused. This meeting will touch briefly why this is happening but the main focus will be to explain, in easy terms, step-by-step instructions how to find other coverage to replace these plans.
