Your body is an organic machine, so that means that lower backs typically do best with regular use, not too much and not too little, just like cars and other machines.

This is why most health care for musculoskeletal injuries focus on a combination of rest to combat overuse disorders and therapies that use increased movement via adjustments, passive mobilization and therapeutic exercise to combat movement deficiency disorders.
