CONWAY — The Gibson Center for Senior Services is partnering with area libraries to distribute “memory kits” for check out, in support of those experiencing dementia and their caregivers. Funding for this project comes from a grant provided by AARP. The purpose of the kits is to provide engaging activities tailored to individuals with dementia or Alzheimer's, with various themes and activities included.

Currently there are five kits available with the following themes: Baking, Farm Life, Lake/Mountain Life, Beach/Ocean and Old Time Market. Each kit aims to stimulate cognitive function, promote relaxation, encourage social interaction, and trigger positive memories.
