G. Marie (Weldon) Ruest, 94, of North Conway, and formerly of Danvers, Mass., died Jan. 19, 2009 at a nursing home in North Conway. She was the wife of the late Jean John Ruest.Born in Danvers on Nov. 3, 1914, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Mary (Ouimette) Weldon. Mrs. Ruest was raised and educated in Danvers and a communicant of St. Richard Church. She resided in Danvers until 1997, and then moved to North Conway. Mrs. Ruest was a loving mother and grandmother, an avid reader and also enjoyed crocheting. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Raymond and Lynn Ruest, of Yarmouthport, Mass.; a daughter and son-in-law, Joanne and Arthur Cassidy, of Glen; a brother Raymond Weldon, of California; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by siblings, Arthur, James and Harold Weldon, Dorothy Roberts, Eileen Kuleza and Laura Petrucci.A funeral mass will be celebrated at 9 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 23, in St. Richard Church on Forest Street in Danvers. Burial will follow in Annunciation Cemetery of Danvers. Visiting hours are Thursday 4 to 8 p.m. at C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors at 28 Elm Street in Danvers.
