The Brownfield, Maine, Recreation Commission announces the hiring of Kathleen Fraize as the new, part-time town recreation director. Ms. Fraize has experience with youth and adult recreation programming through her service to Boys and Girls Club, the Lebanon Recreation Department and the Boston Ski and Sports Club. She is a graduate of the Massachusetts College of Art and earned her master's degree at Wheelock College in elementary and special education. Ms. Fraize is a former high school softball coach and field hockey official, and has facilitated training seminars for recreational professionals at the local, regional and national levels.Ms. Fraize and her family moved to Brownfield this summer, and her daughter attends the Brownfield School. She is the current vice-president of the Brownfield PTA and plans to donate her time painting a mural in the new Brownfield Library.Ms. Fraize welcomes your participation in the delivery of quality recreation services. She will be actively seeking volunteer assistance in the implementation of a new code of ethics for participants, parents and coaches and program leaders beginning with the winter activity season.
