The Fanfare Concert Band returns to the Casco Days Park tonight, Aug. 13at 6:30 p.m. for the second in a series of Thursday evening concerts. Because of the shorter hours of daylight, the concert on Aug. 20 will also begin at 6:30 p.m. and the final concert on Aug. 27 will begin at 6 p.m. Bring a chair or blanket to enjoy the concert in comfort.

Director Stan Buchanan has programmed an appealing assortment of music from Broadway shows, movies and television. In this concert, you will hear the rock beat of songs made popular by the group Queen, Clarinet Cocktail, a number featuring the nimble fingers of the clarinet section, and a lively comedy number. You may discover, can rubber chickens really fly?
