CONWAY — There definitely was a pet theme at the Mt. Washington Valley Economic Council, held last Thursday at the White Mountain Hotel & Resort in Hale’s Location, as Payton Cressy of Pet Rendezvous won the John Bruni Award for young civic entrepreneurship and LupinePet’s Dave and Valerie Jensen, and Scott Badger were the recipients of the 2025 Bob Morrell Award for civic entrepreneurship.
Named for longtime Economic Council board member John Bruni, and selected by past and present MWVEC board chairs, the award recognizes an active member of the business community, age 45 or younger, who has exhibited an unwavering commitment to the valley and a deep desire to make it a better place for businesses, families and individuals. Following welcoming remarks by Executive Director Jac Cuddy, who gave an update on the ongoing work to connect Technology Lane’s two ends, past board chair John Bruni presented the award named for him.
