Reaching an agreement to raise the debt limit has been an ugly but necessary process. What I mean by necessary is some sort of realization that we as a nation cannot allow our government to continue spending money that we do not have. Hopefully, going forward, deficit spending will be more toward the top of government’s consciousness, if there is one.
