CONWAY — Antbird Tours is a birding and nature tour company committed to avian conservation. It offers trips to some of the most biodiverse regions of our planet. According to Antbird Tours owner Charles Clarkson, “We strive to make a difference in the lives of those who live where we bird, employing locals for our transportation and lodging.”
Clarkson will be giving a talk from 1-2 p.m. at the Pope Memorial Library in North Conway on Saturday on “Why Birds Matter and What Audubon is Doing to Protect Them.” This lecture will talk about the amazing things birds do, what we stand to lose in a warming world as many of our avian populations decline rapidly and how Audubon is working to reverse these declines. It will also discuss the current outbreak of Avian Influenza.
