Larry Kohler, owner of Burger King restaurants in North Conway, Gorham, Laconia, Littleton and, soon, Plymouth, is recipient of the 2003 Burger King Award of Excellence, presented at the company's annual business information meeting in Dallas, Texas.Kohler was one of 10 Burger King employees and franchisees recognized for their accomplishments both in their restaurants and in their communities."These winners have excelled in restaurant operations," Brad Blum, Burger King chief executive officer, said in a press release. "They have an unwavering commitment to quality and innovation that keeps our brand relevant to our guests, and they have a greater sense of, and respect for, their team versus their individual success."According to the press release, Kohler has instituted a number of successful initiatives at his Burger King restaurants, including "A Chance for Kids" promotions that have raised nearly $2 million for The Jimmy Fund to help youngsters in their battle against cancer.
