Spruce Hurricane changes owners but stays in family

Spruce Hurricane, a North Conway Village specialty shop, is under new ownership but remains in the family that started the business in 1992.Annette Bennett, of Lovell, has been the shop's sole proprietor for the past 15 1/2 years, and her daughter, Amber Dalton, of Fryeburg, has been involved with product buying and merchandising.Dalton purchased the business on Jan. 1."Mom and I will continue to work as a team and take pride in offering the valley a merchandise mix that i truly special," Dalton said.Spruce Hurricane, located on Main Street in North Conway, offers fashion apparel, outerwear and accessories.
