When the town announced its plan to put in a roundabout on North-South Road, a number of peopleincluding my husbandthought they were crazy. They felt it was a recipe for disaster. I tend to disagree and Ill tell you why. Last week, I was headed south on North-South Road. I was coming up on the roundabout and as I looked ahead, I saw a car in front of me stopped at the entrance to the roundabout. Instead of entering it in the proper counterclockwise position, he turned left then took another left and headed up the northbound lane. Now there is a recipe for disaster but the main ingredient isnt the road, its the drivers. (Please note: The particular driver I observed was not a senior.) Be careful out there!Last Friday, we celebrated Columbus Day with an excellent Italian menu. Frank Hastings provided some great music with his now famous karaoke machine. Best of all, he got Jack Rice and Warren Martin to sing a couple of wonderful old tunes. Thank you, guys. You were all simply tremendous!
