CONWAY — For the second time in three years, Arts in Motion Theater Co. is presenting a charming and funny production of Roald Dahl’s “James and the Giant Peach Jr.,” which opened last Friday at the Majestic Theatre in Conway, with additional performances this week tonight and Saturday at 7 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday at 2 p.m.
Based on Dahl’s 1961 novel, the musical centers on James (Adeleigh Voelbel), an orphaned boy in England who goes on a transatlantic trip in a giant peach filled with a group of giant talking insects, including Ladybug (Amelia Barboza), Earthworm (Alex Lottman), Grasshopper (Jasper MacDougall), Centipede (Noah Poirier), Spider (Keira Innes) and Glowworm (Hazel Bradeen). James is on the run from his cruel aunts, Spiker (Nola Bradeen) and Sponge (Isabelle Frechette).
