MADISON — The 5th Annual Salsa de Mayo event fundraiser brought plenty of salsa lovers to the front porch of Traditions Restaurant, Cafe & Pub on May 3, 2026, to taste test a dozen entries, all in the name of raising crucial funds for End 68 Hours of Hunger. This public non-profit effort confronts the approximately 68 hours of hunger that some school children experience between the free lunch they receive in school Friday and the free breakfast they receive in school Monday.
Purity Spring Resort President Steven Hoyt recently presented Mandy MacDonald, representing the local chapter of the organization, with a check for $1,000.
