CONWAY — On June 5, the Northeast Woodland Chartered Public School closed on the purchase of the Mount Washington Valley Economic Council’s office space at the campus of the Technology Village, giving the school more space for its burgeoning student body, especially in the lower grades.
So is this the end of the council, founded in 1990? Not according to Jac Cuddy, executive director since 2001, who said the council’s future is in a state of flux. Cuddy said he is negotiating with an unnamed larger economic council to possibly merge with that group but was not at liberty to reveal further details. Cuddy emphasized that the Council, however, is going to continue.
