Saco Covered Bridge

CONWAY — A driver from Colorado, attempting to drive a Ford pickup towing a travel trailer through the Saco Covered Bridge, struck the bridge's "Low Clearance" signs, then left the scene on Tuesday afternoon, state officials said.

The incident happened shortly before 2 p.m. According to Conway Police Chief Chris Mattei, officers responding to the crash found that both of the low clearance signs hanging from either side of the bridge had been struck and sustained damage.
