CONWAY — M&D Playhouse is presenting a twist on Rodgers and Hammerstein’s “Cinderella,” which opens Thursday, Aug. 8, with performances Thursday through Sunday until Aug. 25 at the Eastern Slope Inn Playhouse in North Conway.
“Cinderella” was originally written by Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein II in 1957 as a television broadcast starring Julie Andrews. It was remade for television twice, most notably in 1997 with Brandy and Whitney Houston, but didn’t make it to Broadway until 2013.
