CONWAY — Imagine yourself in New Orleans on Mardi Gras morning. Your eyes are ready to feast on the intricate and elaborate beadwork of the Indian Tribes as they dance down the street — but before you see them, you’ll hear the joyful sound of their brass, guitars and more, known as "the rumble.”
You don’t need to make a trip to the Big Easy — you can hear this iconic sound at the Majestic Theatre in Conway on Saturday April 18, when The Rumble comes to town. The Rumble, a Grammy-nominated seven-piece ensemble, fuses iconic New Orleans funk in the vein of the Meters and the Neville Brothers with electrifying brass and the visual splendor of the Black Masking Carnival tradition. Immerse yourself in this unique facet of New Orleans culture, which blends Cajun and Native American traditions.
