BROWNFIELD, Maine — Stone Mountain Arts Center in Brownfield, Maine, will be presenting Knots and Crosses on Friday, Aug. 30, and Saturday, Aug. 31, at 8 p.m.

Folk rockers Knots and Crosses was a core trio of myself Carol Noonan, Alan Williams and Rick Harris with a rhythm section of Ben Wittman and Greg Porter. Popular in the early 1990s, a cult favorite of the ’90s folk-rock-pop explosion, they were known for their catchy songs, strong harmonies and guitar driven melodies. Their hit “Creatures of Habit” got a frenzy of airplay and won them a huge New England fan base and a record company signing.
