RANDOLPH — Celebrating the bicentennial of the town of Randolph as it concludes, the Big Moose Bach Fest will present Cameo Baroque, an ensemble committed to sharing the music of the baroque on instruments of the period. The concert of music by Johann Sebastian Bach, “A Concert of Trios and Arias,” will be presented at the Randolph Town Hall on Saturday, Aug. 31, at 2:30 p.m.
Beth Hilgartner, an Episcopal priest, writer and maker of recorders, with Ernie Drown, church musician and harpsichordist, founded the ensemble in 2013, under the auspices of the Cameo Arts Foundation, supporting organizations working to meet basic human needs in the region of the Upper Valley and beyond. The couple has performed regularly at the Randolph Church for many years. The concert will be dedicated to the recently deceased and beloved mentor, musician and author, Heywood Alexander.
