CONWAY — Coach Jenny Laine can’t wait for practice these days. She sees the Kennett High girls’ lacrosse team improving “by leaps and bounds” and is excited to see her Eagles take the sport to the next level.

Kennett is off to a 1-2 start in Division II after facing some of the perennial top teams in the league. The Eagles went to Wolfeboro on April 11 and topped rival Kingswood 21-11. They gave Oyster River-Newmarket all it could handle before falling in the second half 9-6 at Cetola Field in the home opener on April 16; and fell 16-6 to last year’s state runner-ups Hanover on the road on Thursday.
