FRYEBURG — The Fryeburg Academy football team is one win away from a state championship.
The Raiders punched their ticket to the Class C finals in style on Friday night and got a small measure of revenge in the process. Coach David Turner’s troops defeated four-time state champion Leavitt, 38-0 with a dominating performance on both sides of the football. FA returned two interceptions, including a 100-yard pick-six by junior Ty Boone, for touchdowns, owned both sides of the line of scrimmage and wore the Hornets down with a potent running attack.
