FA Softball - 2024 Team

FRYEBURG — The Fryeburg Academy softball team traveled to Norway, Maine, to play Oxford Hills last Monday and the Class A Vikings are predicted to do very well in this year’s state championship tournament and showed why in this game which ended after three innings due to the 12-run mercy rule. Oxford Hills won 16-1.

The hosts let the girls from Fryeburg know they could play by scoring all 16 runs in the first inning after the Raiders had scored a run in the top of the first inning. Carlin Galligan hit a run-scoring double to knock in the lone run.
