PORTLAND — The No. 4 seeded Fryeburg Academy girls’ basketball team put a scare into No. 1 Mt. Ararat in the semifinals of the Class A South Tournament at the Expo in Portland before bowing out 36-30.

In a season where the team accomplished some great victories and gave Raider fans reason to be proud of their school and their community, it’s too bad it could not have gone on a little longer.
