NEWCASTLE, Maine — The end is in sight for the Fryeburg Academy girls’ soccer team. After opening their season with four straight road matches across the Pine Tree State, the Raiders are scheduled to return to the friendly confines of Atwood Stadium this week for two contests.
FA went 0-1-1 in two road clashes last week. The Raiders opened the week at undefeated Cape Elizabeth (3-0) last Tuesday, and fell 6-0. The girls from Fryeburg had a better showing on Friday when they made the long trek to Newcastle to play Lincoln Academy (1-0-1) to a 0-0 double-overtime draw.
