CONWAY — It was a productive holiday break for the Kennett High ice hockey team. The Eagles went 1-1-1 in the seventh annual Peter Hall Christmas Classic Tournament at Ham Ice Arena Thursday through Saturday. While the hometown flock finished fifth overall out of the six Division II and III schools, they got plenty of ice time for players, played quality opponents and were able to work on some things that will be in place for 2020.

“We were certainly happy with the way the tournament went,” Michael Lane, Eagles’ head coach, said. “We would have liked things to go a little differently against Berlin-Gorham, and maybe we’d have had a shot at reaching the title game. Overall, we accomplished a lot of the things we’re were hoping to.”
