WHITEFIELD — The Kennett High boys’ cross-country running team captured first place in its second meet of the week when the boys from Conway won the White Mountains Regional Invitational in Whitefield on Saturday. The KHS girls placed second to a strong Newfound squad.

“The kids were understandably tired, it was their third meet in eight days,” Bernie Livingston, Eagles’ head coach, said, referring to meets in Portsmouth on Sept. 13 and in Wolfeboro for the Kingswood Invitational on Sept. 16. “Still, it was a good day. Everyone ran to the nest of their abilities.”
