CONWAY — The Kennett High football team improved to 2-1 on the young season in Division II with a dominating 40-0 victory over visiting Merrimack Valley on Friday night before a good-sized crowd at Gary Millen Stadium. The win, the second in a row, served as a good prep for Plymouth Week.
The Eagles are scheduled to venture to the “Land of Lenahan” to play the current two-time defending state champion Bobcats this Saturday at 2 p.m. Plymouth lost a host of talented players to graduation, including multitalented running back Garrett Macomber, last year’s D-II player of the year, but is off to a 3-0 start and currently sits atop the Division II-North standings.
