CONWAY — The Kennett High indoor track team closed the book on the regular season on Sunday with the second and final State Meet qualifiers at the Paul Swett Oval on the campus of the University of New Hampshire in Durham. The Eagles turned in a number of strong performances and now have their sights set on this Sunday’s Division II State Championships at the Leverone Field House on the Dartmouth College campus in Hanover at 3:30 p.m.
With the first qualifier, at the University of Southern Maine in Gorham, Maine snowed out the previous weekend, all eyes were on UNH on Sunday. It became apparent that KHS senior Chris Caputo likes the big stage. He won both the 300-meter run and the long jump in his final visit to the Swett Oval.
