ANDOVER, Mass. — The Home Run Bulldogs 13U team capped off a terrific summer on the baseball diamond in style last week by winning the New Balance Select Baseball New Hampshire/Maine Division II championship. The hometown nine went a perfect 3-0 to close out its season with an 18-8 record, including knocking off the No. 2 seed Keene in the title game at the Greater Lawrence Technical School in Andover, Mass. on Wednesday night.

“These guys just never gave up,” said Jim “Dewey” Hidden, coach of the Bulldogs on Monday. “They bought into a team first mentality and every game someone else stepped up and made the big plays when they had to.”
