CONWAY — The Conway Parks & Recreation Department has received a commitment from three teams to play in its men’s 35-and-older softball league. Officials are hoping to find a fourth team before play begins next month.

“Ideally, we’d like to get a fourth team,” said Conway Rec. Director Michael Lane by phone Thursday.

Lane said the league, which plays its games at Whitaker Field in North Conway, is scheduled to open its season on June 14 and will run to through the end of August with playoffs.

“The plan is to play games on Tuesday nights at Whitaker with the occasion Thursday game if there are rainouts,” Lane said.

If there are players interested in playing this summer who are not yet currently on a team or a team who would like to join the league, people can contact Lane at the recreation department at (603) 901-1139 or by email at
