Allentown, Pa. — A global pharmaceutical company plans to invest billions in Pennsylvania to build a manufacturing facility.

On Friday, Governor Josh Shapiro and Pennsylvania Department of Community & Economic Development (DCED) Secretary Rick Siger announced the Commonwealth has secured a $3.5 billion private-sector investment from global pharmaceutical firm Eli Lilly and Company to build a new, state-of-the-art pharmaceutical facility in Lehigh County.
