Cold temps this April have slowed the snowmelt to a trickle, which is bad news for whitewater paddlers in the Mount Washington Valley. A few paddlers got out on Easter weekend when the water came up briefly, but cold days and colder nights pretty much shut off the flows.

Let’s hope the rest of April brings some warmth and some rain to raise the rivers around here and get things going. Life isn’t a spectator sport. Get out and enjoy!
