CONWAY — The Authors at the Pope series continues with blueberries and chickens — and Rebecca and Adi Rule — on Wednesday, Oct. 7. Beginning at 5:30 p.m., the library will provide pizza and the Rules will lead a book-themed pendant making craft, all followed by a chat about two new books. All ages are welcome.

Chickens will not actually be in attendance, but the new perfectly timed novel by Adi Rule will be there. “Ghost Chickens: Omelet from the Other Side” features aspiring journalist Florence Fortescue. After moving to the country and leaving city life behind, she eats a glowing green egg and can now see that her new house is overrun with a flock of ghost chickens running amok. Clearly, they should head back to the city immediately, but her parents remain unconvinced. Using her journalistic skills, Florence cooks up a sizzling expose enlisting the help of her weird new neighbor and even the ghost chickens themselves.
