Not every fishing trip results with a grand slam, and Monday proved that.

It should have been a perfect evening on the Saco River. It had been a warm day, and I had high hopes that there might be some mayflies on the water. However by 5 p.m., the wind had come up. No matter, I thought, I will content myself with fishing streamers and bring the dry fly rod along just in case. The other plus was that the river had been stocked just a few days previous.
