North Country Angling: Time flies

It is hard to believe that 10 years ago this angler and his trusty partner purchased the North Country Angler. Having spent a lifetime trying to return to the angler’s hometown, the opportunity came at the right time. Empty-nesters looking for a place to land and to complete our voyage together in a place we loved from the time we honeymooned at the New England Inn.

Owning a fishing shop is a labor of love. The running joke of how do you become a millionaire running a fly shop is no joke. But being a shop owner and controlling your own destiny has its advantages. Living in the Mount Washington Valley, one of the most ruggedly beautiful places on the planet, is just icing on the cake.
