New Year’s resolutions are part of the fun of watching the calendar turn. Seeing if we upheld the 2023 resolutions and writing down some resolutions for 2024 is a time-honored tradition. Let’s see what happened in 2023, and what we hope will happen in 2024.

Ice fishing for pickerel in Purity Lake remains elusive. Ice conditions were sketchy at best all season long. When the outdoor hockey tournament was canceled on Purity the dream of catching a state record pickerel went with it.
