Saturday, July 6, was a rainy day, so not a good day for chalk drawing on Fryeburg, Maine’s Mountain Division Trail. Fortunately, the organizations sponsoring the Chalk the Trail event — Town of Fryeburg, Fryeburg Recreation Department, Fryeburg Bicycle, Walkways and Trail Committee and the Mountain Division Alliance — planned ahead.

If Saturday was a wash, Sunday was their “rain date.” They communicated with other participants — the Mount Washington Valley Bicycling Club, Mr. Twister and Fryeburg Police Department — and everyone shifted their focus to Sunday.
