“Where can our kids ride their bikes?” is an often heard question at Kids’ Bike Safety Day. Parents want suggestions about safe and interesting places to take their kids biking.

Where families can go biking depends on several factors: the age and maturity of the children, their skill levels, their equipment and their interests. It also depends on accessibility and convenience — who wants to travel an hour to ride for half an hour? Safety, of course, is the No. 1 consideration. Where can families ride where it’s safe and fun?
