The Conway Public Library is seeking public input Monday from 6-7 p.m. on its plans to revamp the park next to the building. The project would be done in conjunction with the state DOT’s Main Street project that will reconfigure the roadway north of the library. Plans call for a “bumpout” of plantings in front with a buffer of low shrubbery next to the park; iron fencing; a paved walkway; a covered pavilion; and a play area for children (see graphic below).

This week’s Teletalk: What would you like to see in the reconfigured Conway Public Library Park?

I spent 10 days last year at the Scenic Inn Motel. Everyday I could look at this very little but very pretty quiet park across from Motel. I would notice at times people walking thru. Maybe a couple of boys riding their bikes. Please do not disturb the natural beauty of your little peace of paradise that Conway has left. A bench a birdbath . Also what amazed me was after a day of traffic forever going every which way never bothered me. A s the sun went down and nighttime came and at 1am until the sun came up not a car in sight. That amazes me to this day. A roundabout no way. That’s like jumping from the frying pan into the fire. My family was traveling these roads in the late 1700s. Me since the 1940s. Make Conway and area as beautiful as it should be again!
