This year has had its ups and downs for the Mount Washington Valley. A good foliage season, early snowfall and booming economy made tourist-dependent businesses happy. Meanwhile, stagnant wages, a shrinking housing supply and continuing opioid crisis, along with falling temperatures and rising fuel costs, have combined to stress people’s paychecks and community coffers. Despite this, it is the time of year to give thanks, and many have much to be grateful for.
