Conway selectmen this week discussed plans for permanently fixing the Conway Lake boat launch, which has become eroded by prop wash from large boats, creating holes and causing granite blocks on the launch to shift. The fix could cost taxpayers $45,000, and Selectman Carl Thibodeau suggested letting the state take over the launch. Later in the week, Conway Public Works Director Paul DegliAngeli did what is probably a temporary fix, removing the granite blocks and filling a hole with stones.
This week’s Tele-Talk question: What should the town do about fixing the boat launch: Should town appropriate $45,000? Allow the state to take over the launch? Or keep doing temporary fixes?
