This 172nd Fryeburg Fair wraps up Sunday after eight days of animal shows, agricultural exhibits, demonstrations, handmade products, quirky merchandise, a new carnival purveyor and, of course, fair food. An estimated 300,000 people go to the fair annually, and this is shaping up to be a good year after COVID put a damper on public gatherings in 2020 and ’21.
