OSSIPEE — The Republican Carroll County treasurer race between incumbent Matt Sawyer and Andrea Picard was too close to call the day after Tuesday's election because Chatham results were unknown.
The state primary election took place Tuesday. As of Wednesday night, Sawyer was ahead by a tally of 2,511-2,492, or 19 votes. But that was before the Chatham votes were counted.
