TELE-TALK: Do you support the expansion of the state's Education Freedom Accounts program?

Gov. Kelly Ayotte this week signed a bill expanding the Education Freedom Accounts program, which is expected to cost taxpayers between $40 million and $50 million a year. The program provides $5,600 to parents who choose to educate their children outside the public school system. Initially created to help low-income families, the program has now been expanded to include all families, regardless of income. Republicans say the expansion encourages school choice and gives parents more control over their children’s education. Democrats oppose it, arguing that most of the money goes to parents who already send their kids to expensive private or religious schools.
