The Conway School Board is considering increasing the music department’s budget to the tune of $30,000. The increase from $20,000 to $50,000 would pay for replacement and refurbishment of instruments at Kennett Middle School and Kennett High School. Many of the instruments need to be repaired or replaced. A priority would be purchasing a tuba costing $3,500 to $6,000, an instrument the department does not have.

This week’s Tele-Talk question: Do you support a $30,000 increase in Conway’s school budget to repair and buy instruments?
