To the editor:

There are no finer people than long-time Freedom residents Ellie and Emory Stokes.  I hope, though, that Freedom residents won’t follow the urging of their March 6 letter and defeat Freedom’s Warrant Article 2, a proposed zoning change.  As a member of the planning board and one who’s considered Freedom “home” since I arrived as a summer kid in 1951, I’m confident that the Freedom the Stokes and I love would benefit from the proposed zoning, as it will suffer from the blinkered view they express.
