To the editor:

I appreciate the Wednesday’s Sun article on barred owls. I work third shift at a facility in the Ossipee area. I do my outside rounds at night, and lately, the porcupines have been emerging, and I’ve seen deer as well. But I have been wondering where the barred owls are. During most of the year, I would have heard them during the night, as many as four at a time. But it’s been maybe a couple of months since I heard them, now I know why. I’m hoping they come back to talk to me.
