To the editor:

Brett Williams claimed that Democrats in the N.H. House were laughing at the attempt to lower property taxes. I think they were laughing at the irony of Republicans wanting to lower taxes when programs such as Education Freedom Accounts, which mostly benefit people who do not need them, have increased from a few hundred thousand dollars to $50 million this year, almost double last year's amount because Republicans removed all restrictions on EFAs.
